Layered memory Lunafic has had layered memories from the beginning, running automatically behind the scenes. How it works is quite simple. - Your whole story, still one story no matter how long it grows - A recap of the story you have moved past, so facts stop fading - World Bible panels that store character profiles, personalities, and lore - Character knowledge, a separate memory of who knows what, so nobody suddenly knows things they should not None of that changes. On top of it we added two new layers. ### a. Promises that hold Let's say you are an emperor and you announce 15 laws to your people. Now how the heck should the AI remember those 15 laws when, chapters later, that scene gets folded into a recap? Who listened to that announcement? Where did it happen? How exact must that memory be? This is a simple case, and many cases are far more complex. The new memory keeps the fifteen laws themselves, and chapters later the story still honors them to the letter. It all happens automatically in the background, and you can open the story memory panel (tap the context meter) to see and edit everything the AI remembers. ### b. Story notes Now you have Story Notes, written by you. When something important happens in the scene, the AI can suggest a note for it, and you save it as permanent memory with one tap. There is a limit on how many notes a story holds, and every note rides along with each reply, so save them for the things the AI really must not forget. We also fixed a pile of memory bugs over the past few days. Sorry if any of them broke your immersion. ## Update 2. Publish characters without a world From now on you can publish a character straight to the community without preparing a whole world first. No scenario setup, no world cover, just the character and its panels. An AI review checks every published character to keep quality up. We have no strict rules on publishing, but avoid using real people's names, like politicians. If you want them in your story, make a parody version instead. ## Update 3. World Bible editor guidance The World Bible editor now has guidance built into the sidebar. Each panel explains what it is for and how it affects the AI, with a good example next to a vague one. The sidebar also shows length guides, the numbers we think balance good memory against usage cost. They are soft guides, never limits. **We also fixed bugs from our own audit and from your reports until few hours ago especially regarding the billings and AI behaviour.
