Yes. You can browse the world library, fork a world, and write your first chapters for free, with no credit card required. Paid plans add more AI generation and heavier features for writers who finish what they start. The free tier is a real place to write, not a trial that nags you.
Does Lunafic train AI on my chats or stories?
No. Zero stories are used for AI training, and your content is never read for anything other than generating your own writing. Your stories are private by default and stay that way until you choose to share them. You can export everything you write and take it with you at any time.
Can I bring my Character.ai character or chat?
There is no import button, and honestly the character travels better than the chat. You can rebuild any character here in a few minutes with the character builder, which gives them a real profile: personality, speech style, relationships, and what they know. The chat history stays where it was. The character gets a better home.
Can I keep my story private?
Yes. Private is the default. Everything you write lives in your own story that nobody can read unless you publish it. You get the full studio, the full world bible, and every writing feature without ever publishing a single chapter. Branching, search, and one-click export are included too, so private never means a lesser editor.
What languages do characters speak?
Characters can speak their own language. A Japanese character speaks Japanese with romanization and a translation beside it, so you follow the scene even if you do not read the script. You can also choose how dialogue reads: original script, romanized with translation, or plain translation. The interface comes in English, Japanese, and Korean.
