# Build a Playable World, the seven steps

A Playable World is a world other people enter and play. You do not write their story. You design the place, the roles, the rules and the endings, and the players write the story inside it.

Open Create, pick Playable World, and press Create a Playable World. Lunafic opens a draft right away and takes you into the step-by-step builder.

## The seven steps

- **The basics. **Name, one-line pitch, audience, genres and cover.
- **The world. **The characters in your Wiki.
- **The player's start. **The starting choices and the roles players can pick.
- **Endings. **Up to seven endings players can reach.
- **How the AI behaves. **The languages and the rules of the world.
- **Images. **Pictures the AI can show at the right moment.
- **Release. **The checklist, and the button that puts your world on the shelf.

## How the builder behaves

- Everything saves as you type. **A refresh does not lose anything. The top of the screen shows Saved just now.**
- Every step has its own link. **Each step is one tap away, from the list on the side on desktop or the chips on a phone, and a refresh brings you back to the same step.**
- Each step shows how complete it is. **A full, half or empty dot tells you where to look next.**
- You can leave any time. **Press Save and exit and the world waits as a draft in My Worlds.**

Press Enter in a single line field to move to the next step.

## The builder is the only editor

Editing a Playable World always opens this builder, from the Library, and Back returns you to My Worlds.
