> Reading, replying, retrying, chapters, and what stays with the author.

A Playable World reads like a book you take part in. The story takes the middle of the screen, and the tools for building a world are not there, because you are here to play.

## Reply, retry and remove

Type what your character says and does in the reply line, then send it with Cmd+Enter on Mac or Ctrl+Enter on Windows, or the send button on a phone. The AI answers as the world and every other character.

If a reply goes wrong, you have two choices. Retry asks the AI to write that reply again. Remove deletes it. You cannot edit the story text directly, so these two controls are how you fix a reply.

## Who is in the scene

The In this scene row above the reply line shows which characters are present. Open it to add or remove characters, and the change applies from your next reply. A smaller scene also costs less AI usage.

## Chapters

Your chapters sit in the left column beside the story, in order. Press the plus to start a new chapter, or type /newchapter in the reply line. Chapters are yours to manage in a Playable World, the same as in a Private world.

## Memory

[The Memory button above the reply line opens your story memory.](/docs/story-memory) It works the same as in a Private world, so a long story keeps remembering what happened.

## Copy and clip

Select any text in the story and two options appear. Copy copies the text, and Clip turns the moment into a shareable image or video.

## The right panel

On desktop, the panel on the right shows who you entered as, the characters, and a This world section with the Wiki, the endings and the narrative settings. It also holds the background picker and Find. The panel tells you that you are visiting, and that the world belongs to its author.

## What stays with the author

- The Wiki is read only. **You can read every character and rule the author allows, and the AI still uses all of it when it writes. You cannot change it.**
- No editing of the story text. **What you read is the story itself.**
- No export. **Export belongs to the author side.**

Your hero sheet is the one thing that stays yours. You can change your name, traits and where you come from from Edit your MC in the right panel, while the role itself stays the way the author wrote it.
