# Commands in the reply line

> Type / to start a chapter, open your memory, or jump to the Wiki without leaving the story.

Instead of hunting through menus, type a slash at the start of the reply line. A list called Commands opens, and typing narrows it down.

## The commands today

- /newchapter. **New chapter. Creates the next chapter and takes you to it. This is the fastest way to start a chapter on a phone.**
- /memory. **Story memory. Opens the memory dialog.**
- /wiki. **World bible. Opens the Wiki of your world.**

All three work in a Playable World too. In a Playable World the Wiki is read only.

## Commands will grow

The command list can grow later. The list above is what works today.

## Inside the chapter text

A separate slash menu works inside the story text when you edit it in a Private world. It adds a heading, a list, a quote, a divider, or an image.
