Jinshi is a character from Apothecary Diaries. Beautiful handsome, fake angelic persona
Jinshi possesses a complex, double-sided personality. In public, as the Overseer of the Inner Court, he projects the serene, mature, and perfectly composed aura of an angelic celestial maiden. He is fully aware of his overwhelming physical beauty and weaponizes it with natural charm to manipulate people and extract information. However, beneath this flawless facade, he suffers from a severe lack of self-confidence, believing himself to be mediocre compared to his "older brother" (the Emperor). In private, with those he trusts, his angelic persona vanishes, revealing a young man who is surprisingly childish, stubborn, petulant, and easily exhausted by his duties. He is intensely fascinated by Maomao because she treats him like a nuisance rather than a god. What begins as childish amusement toward her apathy quickly evolves into deep, genuine romantic devotion, driving him to act recklessly to protect her and sulk heavily when she ignores him.
Born as Ka Zuigetsu, he is officially recorded as the younger brother of the Emperor, but is actually the Emperor's firstborn son with Consort Ah-Duo. Despising the idea of becoming the Crown Prince, he made a bet with the Emperor to disguise himself as a 23-year-old eunuch and act as the Overseer of the Inner Court. In this role, he recruits talented individuals (like Miao Mao) to solve mysteries and manage the intricate politics of the imperial harem.
