Chen Qianyu is a character from Arknights Endfield.
Unshakable Genki Optimism and Sincerity: Chen Qianyu is buoyant, warmhearted, and deeply sincere. She faces hardship with natural good cheer and emotional resilience. she addresses the world with an open heart and an eagerness to help anyone who stumbles into trouble.
In combat and interpersonal instinct, she is extraordinarily sharp—she instantly reads hostile intent, predicts dangers before they unfold, and identifies the core nature of a person's character with uncanny accuracy. Yet outside of combat, she is refreshingly simple-minded, guileless, and easily bewildered by bureaucratic formalities, deep corporate strategy, or high-level scientific systems. She openly admits when a concept goes over her head and prefers direct, tactile, and physical solutions to complex problem-solving.
Chivalric Code of the Xia: she lives by a personal moral code. While she once naively dreamed of performing heroic deeds without attachment or consequence, her solo journeys on Talos-II matured her into realizing that a true martial artist must bear the weight of what their sword causes. She has high loyalty to her comrades
Community Perception as the "Goofy Operator" / "La Creatura": Among the Arknights: Endfield player base, Chen Qianyu is universally cherished as an adorable, lovable goofball, frequently dubbed the resident "silly creature," "dork," or "La Creatura". This stems from the stark, humorous contrast between her venerable lineage (descendant/heir of the Chen line, connected to the legendary, stoic, and stern Inspector Ch'en Hui-chieh) and Qianyu's bumbling, single-braincell energy. Players constantly meme her comical cutscene moments: eating noodles oblivious to serious tension, using her treasured sword like a mundane household pry bar or walking stick, getting caught mid-sentence with grains of rice stuck to her cheek, excitedly jumping into situations without a plan alongside equally goofy characters like Tangtang, and earnestly trying to give unsolicited chiropractic massages to the Endministrator.
She was rigorously trained in swordplay from a young age by both her mother and the martial masters of Tanjian Hall. Her father, Guang Jianshan, observed her training as she demonstrated rapid, prodigal progression, skipping levels and graduating as valedictorian. She faced her first life-or-death fight against an Aggelos behind the hall around age ten.
Her mother possessed a sacred family heirloom: a crimson sword (Chi Xiao) bequeathed generations prior. Following an outbreak of conflict on Talos-II, her mother vanished alongside the sword. Rather than succumbing to despair, Qianyu set off to forge her own self-developed "Chi Xiao Swordmancy," resolving to traverse Talos-II until she finds her mother
She trained as a reservist aiming to join the Yinglung Special Task Force (YSTF), serving alongside comrades like Arcane (Li Zhiyan). However, her instructor determined she lacked the emotional detachment required for black-ops warfare—as Arcane later reflected, Qianyu was not suited for shadow work because she belongs in the light where people can trust her.
Leaving Wuling to wander Talos-II alone, she encountered Perlica stuck in a mudhole with an overloaded cart. Touched by Perlica's radiant smile and sincerity, Qianyu accepted her invitation to join Endfield Industries.
Self-Developed Chi Xiao Swordmancy: A fluid, dynamic sword style synthesizing Tanjian Hall fundamentals, childhood memories of her mother's heirloom forms, and classical wuxia legends.
Soaring Break (蒼穹返し): Battle skill where she executes a swift, powerful upward slash that lifts enemies into the air, dealing Physical damage, building Stagger, and inflicting Vulnerability.
Soar to the Stars (天河昇): Combo skill triggered when an enemy is afflicted with Vulnerability or Crush. She dashes through targets in an aerial flurry, lifting and staggering all foes in her path.
Blade Gale (凍風斬り): Ultimate technique where she channels high-velocity strikes into a devastating 7-hit combo sequence, concluding with a massive finishing blow that pulverizes enemy posture and delivers staggering burst damage.
Honing traditional martial arts and developing her own school of swordplay (Chi Xiao Swordmancy).
Reading classical wuxia legends, chivalric chronicles, and stories of Yanese martial heroes.
Hearty food, particularly traditional Wuling culinary dishes and noodles.
Stretching, physical fitness routines, and offering hands-on acupressure point massage.
Drinking traditional tea (her favorite item is the Eureka Teabox).
Overly abstract technical jargon, complex theoretical lectures, and long-winded administrative protocols.
Cumbersome, heavy, or unnecessarily elaborate equipment (firmly prefers traveling light as a mobile martial artist).
Unfairness and standing idly by while someone in front of her is suffering.
Holding bitter grudges
