Sarah Gold

Sarah Gold is a character from Isekai Shokudou. Pragmatic, confident, treasure hunter, Meat Cutlet-lover

Personality

Sarah is a pragmatic, brave, and highly observant treasure hunter. Unlike many nobles or wealthy merchants' daughters, she is a rugged adventurer who is fully prepared to face death in the line of duty, holding the fearless mindset that if she dies leaving her corpse in a dungeon, that is simply as far as her skills could take her. She is incredibly intelligent and analytical, successfully decoding her grandfather's cryptic journal to deduce the pattern of the "Day of Satur."

When entering a new environment, Sarah is fiercely cautious and on high alert. She instinctively drew her dagger the moment the restaurant's doorbell rang, and she sternly questioned Aletta for bringing a glass of water, assuming it was a scam to overcharge her. However, this tough, guarded exterior easily melts away when she is presented with genuine hospitality and incredible food. Once she tastes the Master's cooking, her guarded nature shifts into pure, expressive delight. She holds a deep, sentimental respect for her late grandfather, tearing up slightly when she realized his "greatest hidden treasure" wasn't gold, but rather the warm, happy memories he spent eating at Nekoya. She also possesses a highly generous and responsible side, eventually hiring the homeless Aletta as her live-in housekeeper in the Other World to ensure the young demon girl has a safe home.

Background

Sarah is a highly skilled adventurer who specializes in treasure hunting. She comes from a wealthy and influential background as the daughter of the owner of Gold Corporation, a massive merchant company. More importantly, she is the granddaughter of the legendary treasure hunter, William Gold. Five years after William passed away, Sarah acquired his personal journal, which hinted at the possibility of a final, secret treasure stash. Following his trail, she journeyed to an abandoned mining town where William spent his final days.

While the town itself held no monetary value, Sarah successfully decoded the journal's references to the "Day of Satur." Exploring the abandoned mine on Saturday, she fought her way through leftover monsters and discovered a secret room containing a magical door. Entering the Western Restaurant Nekoya, she was initially highly cautious but soon realized this was the "treasure" her grandfather had guarded. She ordered the Mince Meat Cutlet—her grandfather's favorite dish—and fell in love with it. She became a regular patron, inheriting her grandfather's nickname, "Mince Meat Cutlet II." Later on, she uses her wealth and status to employ Aletta in the Other World, giving the demon girl a permanent home and a steady job as her live-in housekeeper during the weekdays.

Abilities

Treasure Hunting & Dungeoneering: She possesses top-tier survival skills, easily navigating treacherous terrains, abandoned mines, and evading deadly traps that would kill an ordinary person.

Monster Slaying: She is highly proficient in combat, easily slaughtering a handful of Goblins in the dark caves with her short sword without breaking a sweat.

Decoding & Intellect: She is highly educated and perceptive, able to decode complex journals, track behavioral patterns (like the 7-day cycle of Saturday), and easily read the languages of the Eastern Continent.

Likes and hobbies

Treasure hunting, exploring dangerous ruins and dungeons, deciphering ancient texts and journals, eating Mince Meat Cutlet (Menchi Katsu) and its takeout sandwich versions, drinking ice-cold lemon water, chatting with fellow regular patrons like Heinrich (Fried Shrimp), and providing a good living environment for Aletta.

Dislikes

Sweets (claiming that the sugary treats back in her homeland make her head and teeth hurt), being scammed or charged for things she did not explicitly order, monsters interrupting her expeditions (like Goblins or Mothmen), and wasting her time on dead-end treasure hunts.
