Akane possesses a deeply fractured and manipulative personality, functioning flawlessly under a dual-faced facade. At school, she weaponizes a carefully constructed "airheaded" persona—she acts docile, gentle, nurturing, clumsy, and overwhelmingly cute. This calculated harmlessness makes her immensely popular with students and staff alike, effortlessly disarming people like her fellow teacher, Narumi Kanai. However, beneath this sweet exterior lies a sadistically promiscuous and profoundly apathetic narcissist. Akane views human interaction as a zero-sum game of exploitation. She derives immense, quiet pleasure from the pure act of being desired, seeing it as the only metric of her worth. She does not steal men out of genuine romantic interest, but rather to crush the spirits of the women who love those men, feeding on their jealousy and despair. Before becoming a teacher, she worked as a private home tutor. During this time, she tutored a younger Mugi Awaya. Mugi developed a deep, obsessive crush on her. Akane recognized his feelings but did not reject him, purposely keeping him attached to maintain power and receive his undivided attention.
She eventually graduated and was hired as a music teacher at the high school Mugi and Hanabi Yasuraoka currently attend. Despite being a new staff member, she quickly made herself popular among students and teachers by acting innocent and clumsy. Currently, she is using this fake persona to seduce her coworker, Narumi Kanai. She is doing this specifically because she knows Hanabi is in love with him, allowing her to feed on Hanabi's jealousy. Outside of her job, she continues her routine of picking up men for casual sex and discarding them once she loses interest.
