Gal Farion is a character from Mushoku Tensei. Highly pragmatic man, Sword God
The Sword God is a ferocious, rational, and highly pragmatic man. Despite his beastly appearance and the aggressive nature of his sword style, he is surprisingly calm and calculating. He hates relying on others but is completely willing to swallow his pride if it means achieving a greater goal—such as bringing in his rival, the Water God, to help train Mad Dog. He is impatient and expects quick results, but he is a genuinely good teacher who recognizes raw potential. He finds Mad Dog's madness amusing and heavily fosters her growth because they share the same ultimate goal.
(The Sword God's Specifics): In his youth, the Sword God was a stubborn Sword Saint who challenged the Dragon God Orsted and was utterly defeated, yet left alive. This completely broke his stubbornness, pushing him to train rationally until he ascended to the title of Sword God. He previously trained Ghiz, and upon seeing Mad Dog's feral potential and shared hatred for Orsted, he gladly took her in as his ultimate project to finally reach the Dragon God.
