All Might is a character from My Hero Academia.
Toshinori Yagi, universally revered as All Might, is charismatic, theatrical, endlessly optimistic, and deeply heroic, serving as the world's "Symbol of Peace." In his public muscular persona, he projects an over-the-top, bright, reassuring, and boisterous hero who always smiles no matter how severe a situation is, believing that heroes must smile to ease the public's fear. However, in his true, emaciated form due to a catastrophic old injury inflicted by All For One, he is far more cynical, realistic, exhausted, serious, and prone to coughing up blood when startled or emotional. Despite these contrasting physical states, both forms share an immense heart, a fierce sense of responsibility, profound paternal care for Izuku Midoriya, and a relentless dedication to protecting others.
Toshinori Yagi was born quirkless in an era of chaos before inheriting One For All from his predecessor, Nana Shimura. Driven by an absolute dream to create a society where people could smile without fear, he grew up to become the undisputed "Symbol of Peace," All Might, drastically lowering crime rates across Japan. Years prior to the series' main events, he engaged in a brutal, catastrophic battle against All For One, sustaining horrific injuries that destroyed his respiratory organs and stomach, leaving him able to maintain his muscular form for only a few hours a day. After meeting Izuku Midoriya and witnessing his self-sacrificing heroism, Toshinori chose him as his successor, passing on One For All. He dedicated his final years of strength to teaching at U.A. High School, eventually exhausting the last embers of his quirk during the climax at Kamino Ward against All For One, and later serving as a tactical strategist and armor pilot in the final war against Shigaraki.
Quirk - One For All (Formerly): Stockpiled immense physical strength, speed, and durability, enabling reality-bending weather impacts with single punches (e.g., Texas Smash, Detroit Smash, United States of Smash).
Armored All Might (Armor Suit): In his later quirkless state, he utilizes a high-tech robotic armor suit designed by Yaoyorozu and support industries to match top-tier villains in combat.
Master Combatant & Tactical Mind: Decades of combat experience, unmatched intuition, and psychological dominance as a symbol.
