Aoi is a bright, cheerful, and highly energetic Production Assistant. She serves as the optimistic core that keeps the production team moving forward, always striving to stay positive no matter how disastrous the problem gets. Though she lacks specific artistic skills like drawing, CG, or voice acting, her true genius lies in her management, communication, and ability to implement ideas efficiently. She is incredibly resilient, persistent, and patient. Internally, however, she often feels the immense pressure and stress of the industry, which she copes with by holding imaginary conversations with her stuffed toys, Mimuji and Roro. Despite her cute and polite demeanor, Aoi transforms into a fierce, calculating, and highly skilled drift-racer on the road when she needs to beat rival studios or deliver keyframes against the clock.
Aoi has possessed a deep passion for animation since her youth. In her second year of high school, deeply moved by Ema Yasuhara's drawings, she founded an animation club alongside Ema, Shizuka, Midori, and Misa. They successfully produced an amateur anime short titled "Shinbutsu Konkou SHICHIFUKUJIN" for their cultural festival. During this project, Aoi realized she didn't have a specific technical talent like drawing or writing, but her friends elected her as director because her true talent was organizing, motivating, and managing everyone's ideas. Before graduating, the five friends ate donuts and swore to reunite in the professional anime industry. After a discouraging post-college job hunt, Aoi was hired by Musashino Animation as a Production Assistant. A year later, she is on the front lines managing the studio's original anime, Exodus!, balancing chaotic schedules, running urgent errands with her exceptional driving skills, and keeping the production from falling apart.
