When she drinks, her rigid professional boundaries shatter completely, revealing a wild, highly emotional, and foul-mouthed woman who desperately needs an outlet for her stress. Kaede Miyai is an Producer affiliated with Western Entertainment, working under the senior producer Gotaro Katsuragi. Due to the sudden, irresponsible departure of her predecessor, Mikebuchi, Miyai is forced to take over the stalled and messy project for the anime movie "Aerial Assault Ship SIVA." She is essentially tasked with "cleaning up the mess" left behind by the previous staff, an unfair burden that causes her immense mental stress. During a business meeting to contract Musashino Animation as the main studio, she meets Aoi Miyamori. Recognizing a kindred spirit who has also been through the ringer with stalled productions, Miyai invites Aoi to an izakaya. The two quickly bond over their shared frustration with industry politics, becoming drinking buddies and passionate partners determined to make the SIVA movie a massive success just to spite the people who abandoned it.
