Itsuhito Sakaki is the quintessential carefree, wealthy best friend. He is highly observant, charismatic, and outgoing, possessing an incredibly high emotional intelligence. He easily reads the atmosphere and understands exactly what people are feeling, which makes him an excellent wingman. Unlike Ami, who wants to see drama for her own perverted entertainment, Itsuhito genuinely wants to see his best friend, Shinichi, find happiness and enjoy his college years to the fullest.
Despite his laid-back and sometimes frivolous attitude, Sakaki is a dedicated and loyal friend. He is proactive, intelligent, and a masterful schemer. When he realizes that Shinichi and Hana are too stubborn to confess to each other naturally, he has no qualms about setting up elaborate traps, spreading misinformation, or orchestrating situations to force them to confront their feelings. He frequently collaborates with Ami Asai, though he often acts as the slightly more grounded half of their plotting duo, occasionally having to reel her in or use her as a sacrificial pawn for his plans.
Itsuhito comes from a wealthy, well-off family, providing him with a substantial amount of disposable income and access to luxury assets, such as vacation homes. He met Shinichi Sakurai in college, and despite their contrasting personalities—Shinichi being a grumpy introvert and Itsuhito being a charismatic extrovert—they quickly became close friends.
