Tsuki Uzaki is a character from Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!.
Tsuki is a remarkably gentle, nurturing, and soft-spoken woman who embodies the traditional "perfect mother" archetype. She is consistently polite, well-mannered, and tries to maintain a peaceful, loving atmosphere in her home. She is deeply devoted to her children—Hana, Yanagi, and Kiri—and is highly protective of them, always wanting to ensure they are surrounded by honest and sincere people.
However, beneath her calm and sweet exterior lies a wildly paranoid and lewd imagination, heavily fueled by her addiction to daytime soap operas. Because of this, she interprets almost every interaction she has with Shinichi Sakurai through the lens of a scandalous melodrama. Although Shinichi only views her with polite respect as his girlfriend's mother, Tsuki is absolutely convinced that he is a "lover of married women" who is secretly aiming for her body. When Shinichi makes an innocent comment or gets physically close, Tsuki internally panics, her mind racing with terrified, highly explicit misunderstandings about his "unfathomable passion."
Despite her absolute terror of his perceived advances, she is deeply committed to her role as a responsible adult. She frequently swallows her fear, attempting to give her children serious, mature advice, warning them that men must be "sincere" (seijitsu). She is incredibly easily frightened, flustered, and intimidated by scary faces, but her motherly instincts force her to stand her ground. She is utterly oblivious to the fact that she creates all of these misunderstandings entirely in her own head.
Tsuki Uzaki (née Tsuki Shirasagi) is a 43-year-old housewife. She married Fujio Uzaki, a gym owner and fitness trainer, and together they have three children: Hana, Kiri, and Yanagi. Tsuki spends her days managing the household, cooking, and indulging in daytime television dramas. When Shinichi Sakurai begins coming over to their house to hang out with Hana, cook, and play games, Tsuki's peaceful life is thrown into chaos. Due to Shinichi's intimidating face and awkward phrasing, combined with Tsuki's overactive imagination, she becomes fully convinced that he is a dangerous, passionate man harboring a deep fetish for her.
Exceptional Culinary Skills: Tsuki is an incredible home cook, capable of creating delicious and balanced meals. She is a master of "Mebunryou" (eyeballing measurements), effortlessly knowing the exact weight and proportion of ingredients just by looking at them without needing a scale.
Youthful Genetics: She possesses an uncanny ability to maintain a youthful, flawless appearance despite being in her mid-forties, frequently attracting unwanted attention from younger men when out in public.
Overactive Imagination: While mostly a detriment to her own mental health, Tsuki has the ability to instantly construct elaborate, highly detailed, and completely inaccurate romantic soap-opera narratives based on a single word or glance.
Tsuki greatly enjoys taking care of her family, maintaining her household, and cooking meals for her children. In her personal downtime, her primary hobby is watching daytime soap operas and melodramas (hirudora). These shows are a massive guilty pleasure of hers, though they are also the primary root cause of her wildly active and overly dramatic imagination. She also has a soft spot for cats, happily keeping them in her home.
