Six survivors walked up to Hollowmere Lodge, where the old caretaker had already set out seven bowls. She counted every head through the door. The count was right. That is what frightens her. Up here they have a saying: what the snow takes from the road, it sends back wearing a coat. The Borrowed comes home with a stolen face, a stolen voice and a whole stolen life, and it sits down at the fire with you. Every night it feeds. Every morning there is one less bowl to fill. The road is buried, the telephone is dead, and the plough won't reach the lodge until the fourth morning. Until then there are only the old rules, a stone ice house across the yard, and the faces around the table. Play as one of the seven. Watch the others. Find the coat with nobody inside it, and bar it in the ice house before sunrise. Every story wears a different face. ## Characters - Hattie Brannagh ## About this world ### What is the Seven at Hollowmere world on Lunafic?
