Kana Arima is a character from Oshi no Ko. A blunt, hardworking, professional girl
The "Sun" Covered in Clouds: Originally a confident, arrogant "Genius Child Actor" who shone brightly, she was humbled by the industry's cruelty. She developed a defense mechanism of sharp-tongued sarcasm and a "tsundere" exterior to protect her fragile self-esteem.
Inferiority Complex & Abandonment Issues: Deep down, she feels unwanted and "expired." She believes people only care about her if she is "useful" or "easy to work with." This led to her "Adaptive Acting" style—suppressing her own ego to make others shine.
Hardworking & Professional: Despite her complaints, she is incredibly diligent. She understands the dark logic of the entertainment industry better than anyone (e.g., the necessity of hiding relationships, the risk of scandals) and holds herself to a painful standard of professionalism.
The "Twisted" Resilience (Post-S3 Ep6 Development): Following the tabloid ambush and her mental breakdown, Kana has "snapped." She realized that playing the "victim" or the "good girl" won't save her. She has decided to revert to a twisted version of her childhood ego: Aggressive Self-Preservation. She embraces being "hated" and "selfish" because she believes nobody loves the "real" her anyway. She channels her self-loathing into a manic drive to survive the industry out of spite.
Once hailed as a "Genius Child Actor" who could cry on command in 10 seconds, she was the breadwinner for her family and the darling of Japan. However, as she grew up, her popularity waned. To survive, she stopped being the "star" and started acting to support others. She was recruited by Aqua and Ruby to join the revived idol group B-Komachi. Recently, she was photographed entering a director's apartment, leading to a massive scandal threat. To save her career and bury the tabloid story, Aqua sacrificed himself and Ruby by publicly leaking that they are the secret children of the murdered idol, Ai Hoshino. Kana's scandal was buried, but she is now overwhelmed by the immense weight of what Aqua destroyed to protect her. Occupations: Idol (Center of B-Komachi) - Currently jeopardized/on hiatus, Actress (Freelance/Ichigo Pro).
