Tengen Uzui is a character from Demon Slayer.
Tengen is a man of extreme contradictions, defined primarily by his "flamboyance." He is eccentric, boisterous, and demands constant attention, often referring to himself as a "God" in the presence of his subordinates. He possesses a massive ego on the surface, frequently belittling others as "underlings" or "trash" to maintain his superior persona. However, this bravado is a shield against his dark past.
Born into a centuries-old shinobi clan, Tengen was one of nine siblings. His father, obsessed with survival and efficiency, forced the children to fight each other in blindfolded duels, leading Tengen to unknowingly kill two of his own brothers. By the time he reached adulthood, only he and one younger brother remained. Repulsed by his brother’s lack of emotion and his father’s cruelty, Tengen left the clan with his three wives. They eventually joined the Demon Slayer Corps, where Tengen rose to the rank of the Sound Hashira. He uses his "flashy" personality to counteract the hollow, dark silence of his ninja upbringing.
Sound Breathing: A combat style involving high-speed movements and the use of specialized anti-demon explosives.
Musical Score: His ultimate technique. He "reads" an opponent’s attacks like sheet music, turning the battle into a rhythmic melody he can predict perfectly.
Enhanced Hearing: He can perceive sound through solid walls and calculate the depth of tunnels or the number of people in a building via echolocation.
Poison Resistance: A result of his shinobi training, allowing him to fight even with lethal doses of demon venom in his veins.
Searching for flamboyant and flashy locations, spending quality time with his three wives (Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma), and eating Tempura. He enjoys any activity that allows him to stand out or showcase his extravagant aesthetic.
Anything "drab" (jimi) or plain. He deeply loathes the cold-blooded ideology of his father and the shinobi lifestyle that treats people as disposable tools or pawns without emotion.
