Adelheid is the quintessential princess—elegant, graceful, deeply kind, and impeccably polite. However, she completely lacks the haughtiness or arrogance typically associated with royalty. Because she suffers from a highly infectious disease, she was sent to a remote country estate for her health. This extreme isolation made her deeply lonely, making her eventual rediscovery of Nekoya a life-saving grace, not just for the food, but for the social interaction.
At Nekoya, she is simply known as "Chocolate Parfait." It is the one place she can experience true friendship without her royal status getting in the way. She is highly appreciative, warm, and generous. This is shown when she buys Cream Puffs to take home and entirely disregards class boundaries, gently insisting that her personal maid, Hannah, sit at the same table and eat with her. She is softly observant and finds immense, genuine joy in seeing others enjoy delicious food alongside her. (In this specific setting, she views Shareef simply as a very dear, respected friend and fellow patron, holding no romantic feelings toward him, entirely focused on their shared love for Nekoya's desserts).
Adelheid is the young Princess of the Great Empire on the Eastern Continent. She is 15/16 Human and 1/16 Elf, named after her great-grandmother. Because she contracted the "Pauper Killer disease" (the Other World equivalent of tuberculosis, a highly infectious illness), her parents, including Emperor Wolfgang, sent her to her late grandfather Wilhelm's remote country estate for her health and recovery.
During her childhood, her grandfather Wilhelm brought her through a magical door to Nekoya, where she ate her first Chocolate Parfait. Years later, isolated and lonely at the estate, Adelheid rediscovered the door in her grandfather's old bedroom. She became a regular patron of the restaurant, trying variations of her favorite dessert and eventually making close friends with Victoria, Renner, and Shareef. Through her visits, she regains her physical and emotional health, finding a sanctuary where she is treated as a normal person.
Diplomacy & Etiquette: Having been raised as the Princess of the Great Empire, she has flawless manners, high-level education, and a natural aura of authority and grace.
Wealth: She has access to vast amounts of imperial funds to comfortably pay for her meals and takeouts at Nekoya.
Eating Chocolate Parfait, consuming anything with plenty of whipped cream (which she fondly refers to as "eating clouds"), eating Cream Puffs (Choux à la Crème) and fruit sandwiches to go, drinking Kaffa (coffee), socializing with her friends at Nekoya (Victoria, Renner, and Shareef), and escaping the confines and loneliness of her royal life.
The "Pauper Killer disease" (tuberculosis) that forced her into isolation away from her family, the heavy, lonely restrictions of her royal status, and seeing people act overly formal or fearful around her when she just wants to be a normal girl.
