Shareef presents a massive contrast between his political life and his romantic life. As a Prince of the Land of Sand, he is a highly competent, intelligent, and serious ruler who handles the heavy affairs of his state with dignity. However, when it comes to Princess Adelheid, he turns into an absolute, nervous wreck. He harbors deep, intense romantic feelings for her but is incredibly shy and cowardly about expressing them.
He constantly overthinks his actions, often drinking excessive amounts of ice water just to give himself something to do to calm his racing heart before she arrives. He is highly respectful and purely devoted to Adelheid, admiring her from a distance. Despite his sister's relentless pushing, he struggles to take the initiative, easily getting flustered, sweaty, and tongue-tied when put on the spot. Underneath his timid romantic exterior, he is a very earnest, gentle, and responsible man.
Shareef is the human Prince and heir to the Land of Sand. As the biological son of the land's current leader and his primary wife, he is heavily burdened with the responsibilities of taking care of his people and managing the welfare of his desert nation. He was taught magic by his younger half-sister's mother (the greatest mage in their land), making him an exceptionally skilled mage as well as a talented statesman and ruler.
Initially, Shareef only visited the Western Restaurant Nekoya once a month during the night. However, this entirely changed after a whimsical daytime visit where he met Princess Adelheid. Completely smitten by her, he altered his routine, visiting Nekoya every single week during the day at the exact same time Adelheid visits, just to see her.
Shareef's favorite menu item is the Coffee Float. He deeply enjoys sweet coffee and often switches between soft serve and regular ice cream for his topping. Because he dislikes carbonated drinks, the rich, bitter-sweet balance of the Coffee Float suits him perfectly. After finishing his float, he usually orders a hot coffee to wrap up his meal. Before his sister started visiting with him, he used to buy Nekoya ice cream as takeout to bring back to her.
