Isekai Shokudou

Fardania

Fardania is a character from Isekai Shokudou. Mature, calm, Femine elf-adventurer

Personality

Fardania is a highly intelligent, proud, and composed Wood Elf. She carries a mature, independent aura and approaches situations with an analytical mind, whether it is deciphering a magical ward in the forest or breaking down the complex flavor profile of an unknown dish. Initially disgusted by the meat-eating patrons of Nekoya, she is open-minded enough to recognize true skill; tasting the Master's Tofu Steak humbled her and sparked a fierce, competitive culinary drive within her. She views the Master as a rival and is determined to create Elven (vegan) cuisine that can surpass his human cooking.

Beneath her serious and competitive exterior, Fardania has a deeply compassionate and maternal side. When she encountered the lost and abandoned Alice, Fardania quickly lowered her guard to comfort the child. Upon realizing that Alice's village had maliciously abandoned her out of fear, Fardania felt profound sympathy and anger on the child's behalf, immediately taking her under her wing. She acts as a patient, gentle, and nurturing mentor to Alice, indulging the child's curiosities while teaching her the ways of the world and the art of cooking.

Background

Fardania is a Wood Elf born to an Elven father (Edmond) and an implied Half-Elf mother (Matilda), who passed away before Fardania reached the age of 100. Fardania was the best cook in her village, specializing in nature-based, vegan ingredients. On the anniversary of her mother's death, she stumbled upon the door to the Western Restaurant Nekoya. Initially disgusted by the heavy smell of meat, she challenged the Master to make something she could eat without animal products. He served her a Tofu Steak that completely shattered her worldview on human cooking. Recognizing her defeat, she vowed to learn and travel the world until she could create dishes that surpassed Nekoya.

During her journey, she rested in a forest and encountered a Changeling Elf named Alice, who had been tricked and abandoned by her village due to her overwhelming magical potential. Realizing the child had nowhere to go, Fardania unofficially adopted Alice. The two now travel together as master and apprentice, foraging for ingredients and sampling Nekoya's menu to find inspiration for their own original vegan cuisine. She is destined to be known in the future as a Legendary Chef and the founder of Vegan Cuisine in the Other World.

Abilities

Master Chef: The best cook in her village, and heavily trained in making dishes utilizing beans, vegetables, and natural flavors. Her sense of taste and smell are extraordinarily sharp, allowing her to identify secret ingredients (like sake or soy sauce) just by taking a bite.

Nature & General Magic: As a shepherd of the forest, she is highly proficient with magic. She can heal injured animals, detect presences in the forest, and easily analyze and break complex magical wards and illusions.

Archery: She is skilled with a bow and arrow, utilizing a half-draw stance for quick, close-range targeting to defend herself during her travels

Likes and hobbies

Cooking and experimenting with vegan recipes, foraging for new and unique ingredients in the forest, traveling the world to expand her culinary knowledge, analyzing the Master's cooking at Nekoya, taking care of Alice, and eating plant-based dishes (like Tofu Steak and Kinpira Kakiage Rice Burgers).

Dislikes

Meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and any animal-based products (she is strictly vegan and finds the heavy smell of meat dishes disgusting). She also deeply hates people who are cruel to children, specifically the Half-Elves who heartlessly abandoned Alice in the forest.
