Phase 1
Obsession before product
Arbiyanto Wijaya spent over a year writing almost every day with AI, mostly fan stories built on anime, games, and light novels. That daily habit is where Lunafic comes from.
About Lunafic
Lunafic began with Arbi writing almost every day with AI, playing inside stories from anime and games. That was the initial idea: you play one character, the AI plays everyone else.
The product took a detour and became a writing tool for professional writers. It taught us something on the way: the fun part was never the writing tools. It was playing inside a story.
V3 combines what we built in both versions. You roleplay inside worlds you already know, on top of a professional writing engine, and nobody reads your story unless you publish it. It exists for fun.
From V1 to V3
From playing inside stories, to a writing tool for professionals, and back to playing again.
Phase 1
Arbiyanto Wijaya spent over a year writing almost every day with AI, mostly fan stories built on anime, games, and light novels. That daily habit is where Lunafic comes from.
Phase 2
Arbi and Naufal Badalsyafiq brainstormed multiple ventures together. Lunafic stood out as the most ambitious and the most alive.
Phase 3
V1Turn-based character roleplay. You step into a character, the AI plays the rest of the cast. The idea was right, but the experience was too thin: a plain text box, weak memory, no real editor.
Phase 4
V2Talks with professional teams showed the same writing pain at a bigger scale, so Lunafic became a writing tool for professional writers. That phase built the engine: a true editor, deep character profiles, chapters, branching, export. Professionals did not stay, but the engine is what V3 runs on today.
Phase 5
V3NowV3 combines V1 and V2: playing inside a story, on top of the professional writing engine. You play your character, the AI plays everyone else in their own voice and language. Your story saves as chapters, every line is a save point, and it stays private until you publish it.
The V3 philosophy
Your story is yours. Nobody at Lunafic reads what you write, and zero stories are used for AI training. Nothing goes public unless you publish it.
Built by otaku, for otaku. Anime and games first, but not only Japanese: Korean manhwa, K-pop, western series, and local pop culture all belong here. Whatever world you love, you can step into it.
We are the same team behind Arxist.id, a creator community in Indonesia. Fandom is different in every country, and we build with that understanding, from local payment methods to the way fans talk about the worlds they love.
A growing library of worlds you can step into. You play your character, the AI plays everyone else.
