Questions players ask
Can the AI ever control my character?
No. In MC Mode the AI never writes your dialogue, your thoughts, or your actions. That rule is the foundation of the product, not a toggle that can drift. The AI plays every other character and the world itself, and it reacts to what you do, but the words in your character's mouth are always yours alone.
What is Author Mode for?
Traditional writing. You give a direction, such as what happens next or what a scene needs to accomplish, and the AI drafts the whole scene with every character included. Some writers switch back and forth in the same story, playing the intimate conversations and directing the large ones. The story never changes when you switch modes.
Does this work with an original character?
Yes. Build your character, define who they are in their world bible entry, and play them inside any world you like. Original characters work exactly like canon characters here, because the AI reads the same world bible either way. Your character keeps their voice and their history in every scene you play. Original leads are some of the best played here.
