Scene pictures
The person who builds a world adds pictures for its big moments. While you play, the AI shows the right one when that moment happens.
The problem
Text-only roleplay rarely feels like a game. Our own old picture command, where you typed a slash to ask for an image, did not feel like roleplay at all. So we rebuilt pictures around the moments of the story.

Look for the picture stack

Questions people ask
What does visual AI roleplay mean on Lunafic?
It means the world shows its own pictures when the big moments come. The person who builds a world prepares the pictures and writes when each one should appear. While you play, the AI shows the right picture when that moment happens in your story, and many worlds also open on their own picture. Lunafic does not generate images while you play. Every picture comes from the world's author.
How many scene pictures can a world have?
A world can hold up to 100 scene pictures. Its public page shows two of them, and the rest stay hidden until you reach their scene in your own story. Every picture you meet stays in your story, so you can scroll back to it, and Scenes you've seen in the right panel lists the ones you found, in order.
Can I add pictures to my own world?
Yes. When you build a Playable World, the Images step lets you upload pictures and write a short instruction for each one, describing the moment it belongs to. You can also give a starting choice its own opening picture, and an ending its own ending picture. The AI then shows a picture when the story reaches its moment, and it never draws a new one.
