Story memory
Layered memories that still remember what happened chapters ago, with nothing for you to manage.
The problem
On most platforms a long story falls apart. A promise from chapter 4 is forgotten, a stranger is called by their first name, or a scene you already played comes back. People who write long stories with AI end up pasting old chapters into the chat by hand. Our founder did that for years, and Lunafic is that routine, automated.
Story memory
Long-turn layered memories
Chapter 40 still knows what happened in chapter 4. We separate memories based on context, so AI becomes smarter to remember.
Your secret is safe with me. However long this story runs.

"Sou, kouhyou shinai."
Right. We never make it public.
still true in every chapter between
Chapter 40
Someone asks about the rumor. She does not even glance your way.

"Naisho!"
Secret!
The wink is for you alone.
the same secret, chapter 4 to chapter 40. she never told a soul
In a chat, chapter 4 scrolled out of the window long ago. Here the story holds together, and who knows what is kept apart from the story itself, so a secret held in chapter 4 is still held in chapter 40.
How it works
It looks back
Mention something from many chapters ago, and the AI looks back into the earlier chapters to find it, in any language.
The Memory dialog
Press Memory or type /memory to see what the last reply used. Read, edit, update, or restore the memory of any chapter. It opens on paid plans, and memory works on every plan.
Story notes
Write the facts you decide, like a secret, and choose which characters know it. 10 notes on Free, 30 on paid plans.
Knowledge boundaries
Characters only know what they learned in the story. If your character only knows someone as the man in the mask, that is all the AI uses too.
Questions people ask
Does Lunafic remember long roleplay stories?
Yes. On every reply the AI reads your newest scenes, a short memory of every earlier chapter, the promises and rules made in the story, the world's Wiki, and your story notes. When you mention something from long ago, it looks back into earlier chapters to find it. Memory never edits your chapters, never leaks between stories, and never tells a character something they did not learn. Paid plans hold more of the story on each reply.
Can I see and fix what the AI remembers?
Yes. Press the Memory button above the reply line or type /memory. The Memory dialog shows what your last reply used, your story notes, and the memory of each chapter. You can read, edit, or update any chapter's memory, and Restore previous memory puts an older one back. The Memory dialog opens on paid plans. On Free, memory still works on every reply, you just do not see inside it.
How do characters keep secrets?
Characters only know what they learned in the story. When you write a story note, you choose which characters know that fact, and only they act on it. If your character only knows someone as the man in the mask, the AI uses that name too. This keeps a secret from slipping into a scene where the character who hears it never learned it, even many chapters later.
