How it reads

Furina, in Japanese

TheatricalAnxious underneathPerfectionist

The former Hydro Archon, holding court over dessert like it is an opening night.

She speaks Japanese. You read English (or Korean, or Indonesian). Both of you get the whole scene.

You write

"Seconds," I say. "And this time, tell me why dessert is theater."

Her tea party, after the trial. The desserts are staged like an opera. You asked for seconds.

She inhales like the overture just started.

her real dessert-as-theater lecture, quoted from her world bible

Furina

"Seikou ni tsukurareta dezaato o mae ni, iana kao o suru hito nante inai sa."

Nobody makes a face at a perfectly made dessert.

Furina, in Japanese
Furina

"Demo, boku ni 'suki' tte iiwaseru ni wa, motto doryoku shinaito dame da ne."

But to make me say I love it, you will have to try harder.

She leans across the table, dead serious, one finger up.

the translation sits under every line. the sound stays

"Suiitsu wa kageki to onaji de, haiyaku kara butai setto made komakaku kangaeru hitsuyou ga arunda!"

Sweets are like opera: you have to think through everything, from the casting to the stage set!

Three dials, one voice

01

Character language

What the cast speaks. Japanese keeps the rhythm and the sentence endings that ARE the personality.

02

Narrative language

The voice around them. Yours. English, Indonesian, Korean, or Japanese narration around a Japanese cast.

03

Dialogue format

Native script, romanized with translation, or translation only. Change it mid-story whenever you want.

Straight answers

Can I roleplay anime characters?

Yes. The library carries published worlds built on Genshin Impact, Princess Connect, Oshi no Ko, The Apothecary Diaries, Roshidere, and more, each with a real cast that stays in character because the AI reads their profiles before every reply. You can also build your own world around any series and keep it private. Your version is your own story: nobody sees it unless you publish, and your writing is never used to train AI.

Do the characters speak Japanese?

They speak whatever their world says they speak, and most anime worlds default to Japanese characters with English narration. Every line of dialogue carries romanization and a translation beneath it, so you hear the sound of the line and get the meaning at once. If you read Japanese comfortably, switch to native script and the brackets disappear. It is your dial, per story.

Is it free to start?

Yes, with no credit card. The free tier includes the full studio, every writing format, and a fresh allowance of AI credits every month, which covers dozens of scenes. Paid plans exist for writers who finish what they start: more credits, deeper models, and higher limits. Start free tonight, write the first chapter, and upgrade only when the story asks for it.

Is my anime fan fiction private?

Private is the default. Your story lives in your own space, nobody at Lunafic reads what you write, and nothing goes public unless you publish it yourself. Zero stories are used for AI training, ever. You can also export everything you have written, any time you want, as a novel, a screenplay, or fanfiction format. What you write here belongs to you.
