What is AI roleplay chat?
It is roleplay where you talk with AI characters back and forth while you play a character of your own. In ordinary chat apps each message scrolls into the past and old conversations get buried. On Lunafic every exchange lands in a chapter, so the conversation becomes a story you can reread and come back to. If a reply is wrong, you retry it or remove it. The characters keep their own speech styles because the AI reads each character’s world bible before every reply.
Is it free to start?
Yes, with no credit card required, and stories are unlimited on every plan. Free plays on the Flash model with a monthly amount of AI usage, which is enough to open a world and play your first chapters. Paid plans add more AI usage every month, the Standard and Pro models, and open the Memory dialog, search, and Find and Replace. Start free tonight and upgrade only when your story asks for it.
Does the AI remember the story?
Yes. Your scenes become chapters, and the whole story stays with the characters, along with each character’s world bible and what your character has earned the right to know. Memory is built in on every plan, nothing to buy separately. Chapter 40 still respects what was confessed in chapter 3.
Can the chat get mature?
Yes, mature themes are fine in your own story. Worlds released to the public get a review first, and explicit content stays off the public shelves. What you write in your story stays private. We never train AI on your writing and nobody at Lunafic reads it. Pick a world that matches the night you want, press Play, and choose your hero. If a reply goes somewhere you did not want, retry it or remove it.
