Agent access
Lunafic has an MCP server. Connect Claude or ChatGPT once, then ask in plain words, and the agent builds and manages your worlds for you.
The problem
Building a big world takes a lot of typing, dozens of characters, places, and rules, one form at a time. If you already plan your stories with an AI assistant, copying everything across by hand is slow.
Things you can ask
Real requests from the guide. The agent picks the tools, you just ask.
- List my worlds.
- Summarize what happened in my last chapter.
- Create a character named Mira in my world.
- Add a rare ending to my world that needs the player to keep the rooftop key.
- Change the starting choices to three doors.
- Promote my private world Rooftop Promise to a Playable World.
How it works
Connect once
Claude and ChatGPT connect with a Lunafic sign-in, no token to copy. Other apps use a token you create in Settings, under Agent access.
Build by asking
The agent can create worlds, add characters and places, write endings and starting choices, and change world settings.
Your stories stay read-only
The agent can read and search your stories, and it never changes a line of them.
Every change can be undone
Agent changes show in the agent activity drawer in the Wiki, and you can revert any of them. Revoke the connection any time.
Questions people ask
Does Lunafic support MCP?
Yes. Lunafic has a remote MCP server at https://api.lunafic.ai/api/mcp, open to every account. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an AI app like Claude or ChatGPT use outside tools. Once connected, the AI app can read and edit your worlds for you while you talk to it in plain words. It is separate from the writing AI that answers inside your stories.
Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to Lunafic?
Yes. Add the Lunafic server address as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, and the app opens a Lunafic page where you log in and approve the connection, with no token to copy. In ChatGPT, connectors need a paid ChatGPT plan and work on the website. Other apps that support remote MCP servers connect with an agent token from Settings, which expires after 30 days unless you choose another length.
What can the agent not do?
The agent never edits your stories. It can only read and search them, and only the stories you own. It does not write story replies or chapters, because the writing AI inside the story does that. It does not change your world cover, and it does not handle billing, plans, or account settings. It only sees your own worlds, never other people's private work.
